Discovery captures the feeling of exploration and the moment when what you have been searching for appears in front of you. This could be a stunningly beautfiul vista that enfolds as you travel through a mountain landscape, or the discovery of a new planet while journeying through the stars.
Slowly alternating chords create the feeling of anticipation that culminates in the rich harmonies of the discovery theme. The woodwinds introduce a secondary theme that makes it's return in the coda, before developing into the final climactic statement.
